A demon in a Seoul institution, learning humans by force. Closest match in the catalog: same fish-out-of-hell comedy, same slow discovery that the assignment matters. Difference: it has a case-of-the-week engine, so it never has to invent filler the way My Demon does from episode nine.

Hooks early Episode 1. A demon takes over a judge and starts executing murderers, and the format is set inside one hour.

The immortal and the girl whose existence is the loophole. My Demon is built on the Goblin shape: a being who cannot die, a contract written in fate, and a rule that makes love lethal. Difference: Goblin takes its own mythology seriously where this one treats it as a joke.

Slow start Episode 8. Everything before it is mood, rules and comedy, and the buildup asks for real patience. From episode 8 the show stops explaining itself and starts spending.

Supernatural boyfriend, mortal woman, ancient debt. Same balance of urban fantasy and comedy, with action scenes the budget can support. Difference: the sibling rivalry gives the back half a villain with a motive, which is precisely what My Demon lacks.

Hooks early Episode 2, once the two brothers share a scene. Their rivalry is the engine.

A bound magical being and the human holding the contract. The wish mechanics do the work the demon powers do here, and the comedy comes from the same power imbalance. Difference: it goes somewhere sad, and it means it.

Hooks early Episode 1. The wish rules and the cold woman who does not want anything are both established fast, and the ratings never move more than two tenths across thirteen hours.

Contract relationship played for pure comedy. If the marriage-of-convenience beats were your reason for staying, this is the cleanest version of them. Difference: no fantasy layer at all, so nothing has to obey magic rules that keep changing.

Hooks early Episode 1. It commits to the bit in the first ten minutes, and that is the appeal.

A dangerous woman, and the man whose job is to prove it. Same pull of an attraction that runs against every professional instinct, same glossy production, same willingness to keep you unsure whose side to be on. Difference: nothing supernatural about it. It is an insurance investigation into a run of deaths, and the suspicion never fully lifts.

Hooks early Episode 1. The insurance fraud and the attraction are both live immediately, and Park Min Young plays the ambiguity straight from the first scene.
