Tale of the Nine-Tailed

A gumiho fantasy where the two brothers are more interesting than the romance, and the show knows it. Lee Dong Wook and Kim Bum have a rivalry that carries the sixteen episodes better than the love story, which is pretty but predictable. The action is good, the mythology is overstuffed, and it handles its biggest move more cleanly and a good deal more cheaply than Goblin does. An 8.4 from 74,000 ratings, and the number is fair: entertaining, occasionally great, never quite as good as the pieces suggest it should be.
