Same writer, same method. Kim Eun Hee builds both out of cold procedure: an old case, a paper trail, and a supernatural mechanism she refuses to explain more than she has to. Difference: the mechanism is a radio rather than a spirit, and the emotional target is institutional failure instead of family debt.

Hooks early Episode 1. The walkie-talkie premise is set up and paid off inside the first hour.

Folklore treated as a working system with rules. Charms, possession and a spirit with a grievance that predates everybody in the room. Difference: it is historical, and it lets itself be funny, which Revenant never does.

Slow start Episode 3, once the spirit and the palace politics are properly entangled. Sixteen episodes is four more than the story has.

The dead as a diagnosis of the living. Both use horror staging to get at grief and both are much more interested in who is left behind than in what jumps out. Difference: there is no mythology to learn, and it is eight episodes instead of twelve.

Slow start Episode 5, where the strangers turn out to be one story and the horror framing shows what it has actually been doing.

Korean history as the source of the monster. Same conviction that the horror is downstream of something specific that was done and covered up. Difference: the creature is literal and the romance is central, so it plays as adventure rather than dread.

Hooks early Episode 2, once the hospital becomes the setting rather than a rumour. The pace changes completely there.

Folk mythology with a modern investigation attached. If the shaman scenes and the rules of the spirit world were the appeal, this runs on the same material. Difference: it is a romance with action set pieces, and the tone is bright.

Hooks early Episode 2, once the two brothers share a scene. Their rivalry is the engine.

Spirits with unfinished business, worked like cases. Same episode-level structure, with a haunting treated as a grievance somebody has to process. Difference: it is a comedy about labour rights, and the horror is entirely absent.

Hooks early Episode 1. A labour consultant starts seeing the workers who died on the job, and the case of the week format is running by the end of the hour.
