Shared cast, ten episodes, and every one of them a life nobody attended to. Two men clear out the homes of the dead and find out who lived there, handled with far less sentiment than the premise suggests. The uncle and nephew carry it. Difference: Move to Heaven has no ghosts and no jokes, so the grief arrives without a comic frame around it.

Eight episodes that pretend to be horror and hand you a grief drama. Kang Full wrote it, Kim Hee Won directed it, and the second half is the best-built stretch Disney+ has aired in Korea in years. Difference: Light Shop's ensemble is too big for its runtime and there is no workplace and no advocacy anywhere in it.

Slow start Episode 5, where the strangers turn out to be one story and the horror framing shows what it has actually been doing.

A fantasy procedural with a found family and no padding. Twelve episodes, a pojangmacha that resolves grudges inside people's dreams, and episodic cases better than the mythology connecting them. Same case-a-week structure, same warmth around the edges. Difference: Mystic Pop-up Bar settles private grudges rather than employment claims, and its clients are strangers rather than the dead of one industry.

Hooks early Episode 1. The bar, the debt and the rules are all on the table immediately.

Case-of-the-week law with a warm centre. Cho Seung Woo steady and understated, a supporting cast stronger than the central trio, and a structure that works better than the plot connecting it. Difference: Divorce Attorney Shin has no supernatural premise and a weaker running thread, and its cases are marriages rather than workplaces.

Hooks early Episode 2, once the case-per-episode rhythm and the friend group both settle.

Reapers who prevent suicides, with each case built around somebody choosing to stay. The subject matter is handled with more care and courage than the fantasy packaging suggests, and Kim Hee Sun and Rowoon lead it with conviction. Difference: Tomorrow is about the living and this is about who the work already killed, and it is sixteen episodes rather than ten.

Hooks early Episode 2, once the case-of-the-week structure clicks into place.

Absurdity played with a completely straight face, at the same length. Ten half hours built on the stupidest premise in Korean television, with Ryu Seung Ryong and Ahn Jae Hong escalating into places no summary can prepare you for. Difference: Chicken Nugget has nothing underneath the joke, where this has a labour tribunal under every one of them.
