Gorgeous, enormously popular, and structurally a mess. Every frame of the hotel is a designed object and IU's thousand-year-old owner is a great character, but the show never decides whether it is a ghost-of-the-week series or one long tragedy about her past, so both get told at half strength. The staff histories are the best writing in it and arrive too late to fix the pacing. Watch it for the production design, the soundtrack and IU, expect to skim parts of the middle, and know going in that it is sad on purpose.
