The premise is the best thing in Korean romance this year: an interpreter whose job is to be invisible is assigned to a star whose public voice he has been quietly rewriting, so every press conference is a live test of what he is willing to say for her. Kim Seon Ho is very good at the stillness this needs and Go Youn Jung is better, because the private version of her character is genuinely unpleasant and she never softens it to be likeable. Then the Hong sisters do what the Hong sisters do and pile on a second and third idea, and by the back half it is three shows fighting for twelve hours. Worth it for the first six episodes and the acting. Do not expect the ending to be as clever as the setup.
The emotions of a celebrity and her interpreter get lost in translation as they travel the world filming a TV show. Will love find its own language?
Hooks early Episode 1. The meet cute in Kamakura is the whole pitch and it is the best hour in the run, so if it does not land nothing later will.
