Two people who love and resent cinema for opposite reasons, a critic and a director, circling each other through a decade of grief. The second story, an older brother and the woman he could not stay with, is stronger than the main one and knows it. Choi Woo Shik and Park Bo Young are quietly excellent and the show is beautifully shot. It is also slow in a way that reads as unfinished rather than restrained, and the per episode ratings stay low the whole way through, which is the honest signal: this is a mood you either sink into or bounce off. Watch it late at night or not at all.
A movie buff falls for an aspiring director, igniting a romance that fizzles out too soon. When their paths cross again, can love find its way back?
Slow start Episode 7 is the best hour in the run, which is very late for a ten episode show. Before that it is atmosphere and film references.
