One Spring Night
봄밤Checked and re-read
Thirty-two half hours of two adults slowly leaving the wrong lives, from the director of Something in the Rain and without that show's second-half collapse. Almost nothing happens on purpose: it is built from small conversations, family pressure and the logistics of ending a four-year relationship you are already out of. Han Ji Min and Jung Hae In are excellent, and the discarded boyfriend is the best written character in it. If you need plot this will bore you flat. If you want a romance whose obstacle is other people's expectations rather than a villain, nothing else here is close.
When Lee Jeong-in and Yu Ji-ho meet, something unexpected happens. Or it just may be that spring is in the air -- and anything is possible.
Slow start Episode 4, once both families are involved. Before that it is glances and pharmacy small talk.
