Because you loved 트렁크 2024 · Netflix · 8 episodes, about 8.5 hours in total Drama, Mystery Streaming: Netflix Change drama

Immaculately shot, immaculately scored, and almost completely inert. Eight episodes about a company that arranges one-year marriages, a premise with obvious teeth the show refuses to bite with, and two good actors stranded in scenes that end before anything happens. The picks keep the temperature and the patience, and add a reason to sit still.

Narrow it down 6 of 6

The order is our own call on how close two shows feel, not a score a machine worked out. Closest thing we have means the same experience in a different costume, shares one strong thread means one thing carries over, and same feeling, different angle means it gets you to the same place by another route.

Call It Love poster

Call It Love

사랑이라 말해요

2023Disney+16 ep~60 min~16h total

Closest thing we have

Glacial on purpose, and the payoff is quiet rather than dramatic. A revenge plan dissolves into a habit of showing up for each other, and the dissolving is the entire subject. Sixteen episodes at this pace, with two exhausted people deciding they can stop performing. Difference: Call It Love starts with a plan and gives it up, where this starts with a contract and never presses on it.

Notes from the Last Row

맨 끝줄 소년

2026Netflix6 ep~63 min~6.5h total

Closest thing we have

Same director, and the confidence to refuse a clean finish. Six episodes, two actors, and a writing-mentor relationship the professor cannot control. Kim Kyu Tae working at the same patience again, and this time the six hours earn every minute of their ambiguity. Difference: Notes from the Last Row is two people in a room with no marriage and no company in it, so nothing is being withheld from a plot.

Hooks early Episode 2, when the writing lessons turn into something the professor cannot stop reading. Six episodes, no filler.

One Spring Night poster

One Spring Night

봄밤

2019MBC32 ep~35 min~19h total

Shares one strong thread

Adults slowly leaving the wrong lives, and almost nothing happens on purpose. Thirty-two half hours built from small conversations and the logistics of ending a four-year relationship you are already out of. The same commitment to letting a scene be about nothing. Difference: One Spring Night is warm where this is cold, and its stillness is affection rather than avoidance.

Lost poster

Lost

인간실격

2021JTBC16 ep~70 min~19h total

Shares one strong thread

Two people failing at life, told at the pace of actually failing at life. Jeon Do Yeon and Ryu Jun Yeol play exhaustion as something physical, the writing never offers them a shortcut, and it is barely plotted by design. Difference: Lost has no genre packaging at all, so there is no thriller shape promising a reveal that never comes.

My Liberation Notes

나의 해방일지

2022JTBC16 ep~67 min~18h total

Same feeling, different angle

The specific exhaustion of a life that is fine and unbearable at once. Sixteen hours of three siblings commuting, with four opening episodes of close to nothing, and then the real subject arrives. Son Suk Ku's drunk stranger is the best thing in either show's register. Difference: Liberation Notes has no mystery and no marriage service, and it says its thesis out loud.

Mask Girl

마스크걸

2023Netflix7 ep~60 min~7h total

Same feeling, different angle

The other cold miniseries about being watched, and it moves. Twenty years, three actresses, one woman, and cruelty used as structure rather than atmosphere. Difference: Mask Girl escalates constantly and hands you somebody to follow, which is precisely what this refuses to do.

Commonly suggested, and wrong

The Glory

Grouped with this one constantly as the dark, adult Netflix pick, and the shapes are opposite. The Glory is a plan being executed with visible momentum for sixteen hours, so somebody who liked eight episodes of two people not acting is being sent to sixteen hours of nothing but momentum.

Love in Contract

The obvious other arranged-marriage-service drama. It plays the arrangement as comedy with a triangle attached, so the flat, chilly register that is the only thing this show fully commits to has no equivalent.

Nevertheless

Suggested for the mature-romance comparison and the photography. It is a campus story about ambivalence with a much younger centre of gravity, and the marriage and money machinery that gives this its premise is absent.

A note on method

Matching starts from attributes we set by hand: pace, how much romance drives the plot, emotional weight, comfort. Then a title only stays if it holds up against the whole run of the show and earns a one-sentence reason for being on this list. Full method.
