Is it worth it

The Glory is revenge as a long, patient project, and that patience is the pleasure. Song Hye Kyo plays Moon Dong Eun, a woman whose high school bullies burned and broke her, and who spends the next eighteen years building a plan instead of healing. She becomes a teacher and walks straight back into her chief tormentor's life. The school flashbacks are brutal and hard to sit through, which is the point: they make every later move feel owed. Song plays her almost frozen, and a minority find that flat, but the stillness makes the rare cracks land. The villains are the other half of the show. Lim Ji Yeon's Park Yeon Jin is vain, cruel and weirdly funny, which makes every blow against her a joy, and the gang around her turns on itself nicely. The best part is watching the dominoes fall. The weak spots are real but small. The romance with the doctor who helps her is the most named complaint: he feels like a device, and some find the pairing unconvincing. The middle slows down while the pieces are moved into place, and anyone expecting bloodier payback may find the revenge more strategic than savage. It was released in two parts, so treat it as one piece. Watch it for Song Hye Kyo, a great villain and a plan that pays off. Budget patience for the flashbacks and the slower middle. Skip it if bullying and abuse scenes are a hard no, because the show does not look away.

Years after surviving horrific abuse in high school, a woman puts an elaborate revenge scheme in motion to make the perpetrators pay for their crimes.
