School violence filmed as a power structure, not a morality tale. Same clarity as Pyramid Game about who holds what and why, with the fights doing the work the vote does: everybody knows the ranking and everybody is managing their position in it. The best written school drama Korea has made. Difference: eight episodes, one protagonist and no institution to argue with, so the pressure is physical rather than social.

Hooks early Episode 1. Eight episodes, zero filler, and the first fight tells you exactly what kind of show this is.

Bullying as something that never expires. Pyramid Game shows the machine running; The Glory shows the bill arriving eighteen years later, with the same understanding that the cruelty was organised and social rather than random. Song Hye Kyo is glacial and precise. Difference: it is a baroque adult revenge drama, and its pleasures are cold and slow where Pyramid Game is tense and fast.

A school where a death gets filed as a suicide and somebody refuses to accept it. Same institutional rot as Pyramid Game: the teachers are useless by design, the students run their own courts, and the truth is a matter of who has leverage. Difference: it is a whodunnit with a twin at the centre, so the tension comes from a mystery rather than from a standing hierarchy.

Hooks early Episode 1. The ruling she refuses to accept opens the show.

A ranking system that everybody agrees to, then cannot leave. The adult version of the Pyramid Game premise: floors instead of grades, money instead of votes, and the same slow proof that people will enforce a hierarchy against their own interest. Difference: it is a satire with graphic violence and no hope in it, and the final hours lose their nerve.

Hooks early Episode 2, once the time for money rule is understood and the floors start turning on each other.

Voluntary participation in a system that is obviously rigged. Shares the one insight Pyramid Game is built on, that the vote is what makes the cruelty legitimate. If the monthly poll was the part that got under your skin, this is that mechanic at scale. Difference: the stakes are lethal and the tone is much broader, with allegory doing the heavy lifting.

The paperwork after the violence. Ten episodes on what actually happens to teenagers who do damage to each other, with a judge who has no patience for the schools that covered it up. It answers the question Pyramid Game leaves hanging. Difference: it is a procedural, cold and adult, with no students at the centre and no catharsis.

Hooks early Episode 1, and it is the hardest case in the series. Nothing later is easier to sit through, and the show never lets up.
