A satire about four families in a gated estate destroying their children to get them into medical school, and it is the most watchable ugly show here. The admissions coordinator at the centre is one of the great Korean drama villains, the mothers are written as people rather than types, and the ratings climb from 7.9 to the mid nines and stay there. It is heavy going in the middle, because this is a show about child abuse dressed as class comedy. The last two episodes soften more than the eighteen before them earned.
