Difference: it is a revenge fantasy where this is a procedural, it films the bullying for maximum discomfort, and it wants you to cheer rather than to think.

Hooks early Episode 1. The format is set inside the first hour: a school, a crime, a very direct correction. It does not deepen after that, it repeats.

The other great Korean drama with the feelings taken out. Institutional rot examined at close range, a lead who cannot be moved by anything, and cases resolved by paperwork and pressure rather than heroics. Difference: sixteen episodes on a prosecutorial conspiracy, so the subject is the institution itself rather than the children passing through it.

Hooks early Episode 2, once the first autopsy contradicts the official story.

The pressure factory that produces these children, seen from the parents' side. Same interest in how respectable adults arrange the ruin of their own kids, and the same refusal to let anyone off. Difference: twenty episodes of satire, and it is genuinely funny, so the horror arrives by comedy rather than by case file.

Hooks early Episode 2, once the coordinator arrives and the rules of the estate are clear.

Institutional cruelty with nobody available to fix it. Same structure of an outsider forced to look at what everyone has agreed not to see, and the same flat, unsentimental camera. Difference: the setting is conscription, the young men are perpetrators and victims at once, and it indicts rather than adjudicates.

Bullying as politics rather than plot. A hierarchy set by anonymous monthly vote, ten cold episodes, and not one character asked to be likeable. Difference: it is a thriller with a game structure, so cruelty escalates by design where here it arrives as evidence already committed.

Difference: it is a whodunnit with jokes, a student ensemble and a romance-free but warm centre, so it is far easier company than this.
