A girls' class ranked by anonymous monthly vote, which is the sharpest structural idea in any Korean school drama: every alliance shifts for a reason and the hierarchy is always one vote from collapse. Ten episodes that treat bullying as politics rather than melodrama, which is precisely what Hierarchy claims to do and never does. Difference: Pyramid Game has no wealth fantasy and no glamour to sell, so nothing in it is there to be admired.

The closest premise on the site, and the comparison worth making. A high-school revenge thriller that asks real questions about bullying and vigilante justice, with early episodes that build genuine tension. Lomon and Shin Ye Eun are better than the material. Difference: Revenge of Others cannot keep its own secrets straight either, but it commits to its mystery instead of abandoning its motive.

Hooks early Episode 1. The ruling she refuses to accept opens the show.

Eight episodes and nothing wasted in any of them. It looks like a school fight show and it is about a boy who is very good at hurting people and very bad at keeping anyone. The violence is ugly rather than cool, which is the reason the last episode lands. Difference: Weak Hero Class 1 has no money in it, so there is no luxury for the camera to linger on instead of the script.

Hooks early Episode 1. Eight episodes, zero filler, and the first fight tells you exactly what kind of show this is.

The elite-education satire with the writing finished. Twenty episodes inside one gated estate that are ugly and completely watchable at once, with one of the great Korean drama villains at the centre and mothers written as people rather than types. The ratings climb the whole way. Difference: SKY Castle is twenty hours of adults arguing and the children are the collateral, not the cast.

Hooks early Episode 2, once the coordinator arrives and the rules of the estate are clear.

Status as something done to a person rather than owned. Three actresses playing one woman across twenty years of humiliation, violence and internet fame, and the handover between them is a real formal idea. Difference: Mask Girl is about the cost of being looked at, not about who controls a building, and it is cruellest to the characters it understands best.

Slow start Episode 3, when the lead is recast and the show reveals it is a relay race across three actresses rather than one story.

School bullying as a plan rather than an outburst. Revenge as a slow administrative process, built over eighteen years by somebody who chose the plan instead of healing, and the show never suggests she should have chosen differently. Difference: The Glory spends sixteen episodes on the plan and the flashbacks are hard to sit through, where Hierarchy resolves its grudge with a shrug.
