A revenge melodrama where the revenge plan dissolves into a habit of showing up for each other, and the dissolving is the whole point. It is glacially slow, deliberately so, and the payoff is quiet rather than dramatic: two exhausted people deciding they can stop performing. Lee Sung Kyung plays the prickliest female lead of the year and makes it feel protective rather than hostile. Not for anyone who needs things to happen at pace, but honest about grief in a way romances almost never are.
When her family becomes suddenly homeless, Woojoo decides on revenge for all the injustices she has been put through. However, her supposed foe, Dongjin, is a heart-wrenchingly lonely and gentle soul.
Slow start Episode 4, once the revenge plan stops being a plan and becomes a habit of seeing each other.
