Lost
인간실격Checked and re-read
A drama about two people who are failing at life and know it, told at the pace of actually failing at life. Jeon Do Yeon and Ryu Jun Yeol play their exhaustion as something physical rather than decorative, and the writing never offers them a shortcut. It is beautifully shot, barely plotted, and requires a tolerance for stillness that most dramas never ask for. Nothing in it gets fixed, and carrying on is the accomplishment.
A forty year old woman who feels like she has not accomplished anything in life and a twenty-seven year old man who's frightened of himself.
Slow start Episode 4, when the two leads stop circling each other and finally talk. The first three are deliberately bleak.
