Because you loved 쌍갑포차 2020 · JTBC · 12 episodes, about 14 hours in total Drama, Sci-Fi & Fantasy, Comedy Streaming: Netflix Change drama

Twelve episodes, a grudge-settling bar that operates inside people's dreams, and a five-hundred-year debt underneath it. The episodic cases are better than the mythology arc holding them together, and the comedy is broad without ever turning cruel. It is under-watched, and it is one of the easiest first Korean dramas to hand somebody: the hour-long episode stops mattering about ten minutes in. Warm, silly, occasionally sad, and much better made than it looks.

Narrow it down 6 of 6

The order is our own call on how close two shows feel, not a score a machine worked out. Closest thing we have means the same experience in a different costume, shares one strong thread means one thing carries over, and same feeling, different angle means it gets you to the same place by another route.

호텔 델루나

2019tvN16 ep~75 min~20h total

Closest thing we have

The same business model, with a bigger budget and better clothes. A supernatural establishment that serves the dead, a proprietor working off a debt measured in centuries, and one guest per episode with unfinished business. Difference: it is a melodrama at heart, glamorous and bittersweet, so it will actually make you cry where this one only gets close.

Tomorrow

내일

2022MBC16 ep~60 min~16h total

Closest thing we have

Supernatural civil service, case per episode, same clipboard energy. Same idea that the afterlife has departments, targets and a boss, and the same structure of a small team fixing one person's life per hour. Difference: the cases are suicide interventions at heavy 5, so it is far heavier and needs rationing, one episode a day rather than four in a row.

화유기

2017tvN20 ep~80 min~27h total

Shares one strong thread

The other Korean myth comedy about a debt between a spirit and a woman who can see ghosts. Same appetite for folklore treated as contract law, same swings between slapstick and dread. Difference: twenty episodes, rough effects in places you will notice, and the first five are hard work before it becomes watchable.

The Judge from Hell

지옥에서 온 판사

2024SBS14 ep~70 min~16h total

Shares one strong thread

Grudges resolved by supernatural authority, one case at a time. Same pleasure in a creative punishment fitted to the crime, and the same kind of lead who is far more entertaining than the plot around her. Difference: the punishments are crueller, and a romance keeps interrupting the good part, which is Park Shin Hye.

조명가게

Same feeling, different angle

The dead, the nearly dead, and one place they all pass through. Same premise of a threshold business staffed by somebody who knows more than the customers, same episodic reveals. Difference: eight quiet episodes at a much lower temperature, and it is grief where this one is comedy.

The Wonderfools

원더풀스

2026Netflix8 ep~70 min~9.5h total

Same feeling, different angle

An absurd premise played sincerely, which is this show's whole method. Same trust that a ridiculous setup can hold real feeling if the ensemble commits, comfort 5 and eight episodes with no filler. Difference: superheroes rather than spirits, no rules to learn, and the first two hours are the worst two.

Slow start Episode 3. The first two hours are loud and shapeless and the powers are played as a gag; from three onward the trio becomes a unit and the 1999 doomsday setting starts doing real work.

Commonly suggested, and wrong

The Uncanny Counter

Paired for the supernatural team and the food premises, and it is an action show. Fight choreography, a monster of the arc and a training-montage structure. What makes this one work is a bar, a grudge and a conversation, none of which survive the genre change.

Oh My Ghost

Recommended for the ghost comedy, and it runs on embarrassment plus a serial-killer subplot. Busier, hornier and much more plot-driven. The pleasure here is a found family settling somebody else's business and going home.

Bring It On, Ghost

The other spirit-and-mortal comedy, aimed at a younger room. It is a campus romance with exorcism attached, lighter on mythology and lighter on consequence. The five-hundred-year debt is the reason this show lands, and there is no equivalent weight there.

A note on method

Matching starts from attributes we set by hand: pace, how much romance drives the plot, emotional weight, comfort. Then a title only stays if it holds up against the whole run of the show and earns a one-sentence reason for being on this list. Full method.
