Park Shin Hye's best performance, in a show that keeps interrupting her to service a romance nobody needed. As a case of the week revenge fantasy it is tremendous fun: the punishments are creative, the two assistants are great, and the swing between comedy and cruelty mostly works. The detective is a flat character played flatly, and every scene that pushes the two of them together drains the tension out of the hour. Watch it for her, and treat the flirting as an ad break.
A cruel and vicious judge, who wields power only for herself, meets a warm and cheerful detective who puts the victims first.
Hooks early Episode 1. A demon takes over a judge and starts executing murderers, and the format is set inside one hour.
