A centuries-old woman running a supernatural operation with impeccable outfits and open contempt for humans, slowly softened by one mortal who will not leave. Structurally your show, in a hotel. Difference: the romance is the point rather than the interruption, so the case work is much lighter.

Slow start Episode 3, once the hotel staff get histories of their own.

Supernatural agents with a mandate, intervening in human cruelty case by case, and angrier about it than most fantasy dramas allow. The episodes about abusers land the way your punishment scenes land. Difference: the mission is prevention rather than retribution, so nobody gets dragged anywhere.

Hooks early Episode 2, once the case-of-the-week structure clicks into place.

Righteous fury played as comedy, with a lead whose temper is the plot engine and a corrupt local order that needs breaking. It is the funniest version of the same moral impatience. Difference: the violence is farcical and there is no fantasy element, so the stakes stay human sized.

Hooks early Episode 2, once the priest, the prosecutor and the detective are stuck in the same room.

A supernatural woman working off a debt by fixing human grudges, with the same mix of otherworldly rules and street level pettiness. It is the comfort version of your premise. Difference: it wants to forgive people, which is the one thing your judge is constitutionally unable to do.
