Same writer, same tonal high-wire act, twenty episodes. Park Jae Bum again on an outsider dismantling a corrupt local power structure with a crew of ridiculous civilians, and the comedy and the violence are set at exactly the same pitch. Difference: the violence is cartoonish and genuinely gleeful, so if a consigliere torturing a lawyer for laughs is not your evening, nothing else in it will save you.

Slow start Episode 3, when the Geumga Plaza tenants stop being obstacles and become his crew.

The most purely enjoyable procedural here. A rich heir dropped into a violent crimes unit, snappy dialogue, cases that actually close, and action staged rather than edited. Same pleasure of a mismatched team being funny while doing serious work. Difference: it is a case-of-the-week show with no standing enemy, so nothing accumulates the way the corruption plot does here.

Hooks early Episode 1. A rich heir gets dumped into a violent crimes unit and the tone is locked in immediately.

Lee Ha Nee again, and the same double life. A Joseon widow who fights crime at night and plays dutiful daughter-in-law by day, with the comedy genuine and the twelve episodes moving fast. Same balance of righteous anger and slapstick. Difference: the mystery underneath is thin, and being a period piece it never gets to be about a specific modern town being sold.

Hooks early Episode 2, once the masked night work and the household deception start colliding.

Ten episodes at full sprint. A retired operative, a taken daughter, and three middle-aged men with one outfit each and the same impossible skill set, and it was the biggest broadcast hit of 2026 for good reason. Same refusal to slow down and explain physics. Difference: it is an action comedy with no institutional target, and it wobbles badly at episodes eight and nine.

Hooks early Episode 1. A retired operative, a taken daughter, and no interest in explaining physics. The pace only breaks at episodes 8 and 9.

Righteous anger, converted into a format. Case-of-the-week vigilante justice with a crew, ridiculous disguises and real-life cases supplying the fury the show gets to spend. Same argument that the system will not do it, so somebody unqualified has to. Difference: the comedy is broader and the violence is real, and it has no interest in the law at all.

Hooks early Episode 1. The format is fully established inside the first case.

A professional going in disguised, played as workplace farce. A financial regulator posing as a twenty year old temp inside a securities firm, with the best running joke built out of how little she looks the part. Same pleasure of a serious investigation running underneath comedy. Difference: the crime is fraud rather than violence, and the back half trades the jokes for plot.

Slow start Episode 3, once the disguise stops being the joke and the fraud case starts moving. The setup hour is the weakest thing in sixteen episodes.
