Same instinct: keep the investigation light and let the ensemble carry it. Difference: Chief Detective 1958 is 1950s Seoul and entirely male, so the household comedy that gives this its second half is gone.

Forty half hours of a corrupt district being taken apart, and Lee Ha Nee steals every scene she is handed here too.
