Knight Flower
밤에 피는 꽃Checked and re-read
A sageuk action comedy where a Joseon widow fights crime at night and plays dutiful daughter-in-law by day, and the tonal balance works. Lee Ha Nee is magnetic in the lead, the comedy is genuine, and the twelve episodes move fast. The mystery underneath the action is weaker than the character work above it, and the romance is a pleasant addition rather than the engine. Light, fun, and exactly as long as it needs to be.
Cho Yeo Hwa has been a widow for 15 years. Her in-laws are the most prestigious noble family in the kingdom. During the day, she leads the life of a widow devoted entirely to her dead husband's memory and rarely ventures outside the gate of her home. At night, Yeo Hwa dons the mask of Hero, who secretly jumps over the surrounding wall to save the helpless.
Hooks early Episode 2, once the masked night work and the household deception start colliding.
