Action comedy played at full speed, with a case structure that pays off weekly and a supporting cast built for reaction shots. If Jin I Su's mix of arrogance and competence is what you came for, the priest is the purest version of it on Korean television. Difference: it is angrier and more political under the comedy, and the villains are institutions rather than individuals.

Hooks early Episode 2, once the priest, the prosecutor and the detective are stuck in the same room.

A rich outsider who solves crime with money and bad manners. Both shows enjoy their own hero far too much and are correct to, both put a competent woman opposite him without making the show about the pairing, and both stage set pieces properly. Difference: Vincenzo is twenty episodes and its tonal swings are much wider, with real cruelty sitting next to the jokes.

Slow start Episode 3, when the Geumga Plaza tenants stop being obstacles and become his crew.

An arrogant specialist who is always right, in a system built to slow him down. Eight episodes at a sprint, comedy timed like an action beat, and the same satisfaction of watching somebody excellent be rude to the incompetent. It is pure fun and never pretends otherwise. Difference: it is medical rather than criminal, and the stakes reset every case with no season arc to speak of.

Hooks early Episode 1. A surgeon arrives from a war zone and starts breaking hospital policy inside twenty minutes. There is no slow build anywhere in the eight episodes.

Case of the week, done with real craft. Same procedural pleasures as Flex X Cop with the gloss swapped for period grime: a squad that works, a lead who refuses the easy route, and endings that land inside the hour. Difference: it is set in 1958 and the tone is dryer, with less comedy and more weight on the crimes themselves.

Hooks early Episode 1. The squad assembles fast and the case a week rhythm starts immediately.

Rich resources aimed at cases the police cannot close. Both are revenge-adjacent procedurals where the fun is in the operation: the disguise, the plan, the moment the target realises. Pace 5, and it never apologises for being pulpy. Difference: the crimes are far nastier and drawn from real cases, so the comedy has to work harder around them.

An outsider parachuted into an institution to embarrass it. Same structure as Flex X Cop with a spreadsheet instead of a service weapon, and Shin Ha Kyun playing the same kind of unbearable competence. Tight twelve episodes. Difference: the setting is corporate, the action is verbal, and the partnership is mentor to junior rather than equals.
