Same writer, same instincts. Kang Full wrote both, and both build slowly out of ordinary lives and small rooms. The grief that powers Moving's middle stretch is the whole engine here. Difference: eight quiet hours instead of twenty loud ones, and nobody throws a punch.

Slow start Episode 5, where the strangers turn out to be one story and the horror framing shows what it has actually been doing.

Powers as a family illness. An inherited gift that has gone dormant, a parent who used it wrongly, and a house full of people who cannot say what they need out loud. It hits the same nerve as the Bong Seok and Mi Hyun scenes. Difference: the tone is romantic and gentle, and it asks for patience until episode seven.

Slow start Episode 7. The con at the centre stops being a con, and both the show and its episode ratings step up and stay up.

A young woman inheriting her uncle's secret war. The structure is the same as Moving's back half: the survivor spends the present decoding what the adult in her life actually did, and the answer is always a body count. Difference: no supernatural element at all, and the action is close-quarters and mean rather than spectacular.

Hooks early Episode 1. The uncle is dead, the house is under attack, and the flashback structure starts working straight away.

School bodies used as weapons. The early Moving episodes are about what it costs a fifteen year old to be physically exceptional and hide it. This does that with nothing but a satchel and a physics textbook. Difference: zero warmth and no parents worth having, so the family layer that softens Moving is simply absent.

Hooks early Episode 1. Eight episodes, zero filler, and the first fight tells you exactly what kind of show this is.

The other Korean adaptation that commits to its budget. Same appetite for large-scale set pieces built around one abnormal body, same willingness to make the state the real antagonist. Difference: it is horror, six episodes long, and the emotional core is one lonely woman rather than three families.

Hooks early Episode 1. The infection and the uneasy truce inside one body are both established inside forty minutes.

Period Korea as a place where the powerful make monsters. Moving's 1990s flashbacks and this share a specific idea: the men in offices weaponise ordinary bodies and then file the paperwork. Difference: the horror is literal and the romance is front and centre, so it plays much broader.

Hooks early Episode 2, once the hospital becomes the setting rather than a rumour. The pace changes completely there.
