A Shop for Killers
킬러들의 쇼핑몰Checked and re-read
Eight episodes of a woman defending a house full of weapons she was trained to use without knowing she was being trained. The structure is the trick: a present-day siege cut against a childhood of quiet, deniable preparation, so every flashback pays off as ammunition. Kim Hye Jun carries it and Lee Dong Wook is used sparingly and well. Some of the assassins are cartoons and the drone effects are rough. Still the tightest Korean action series since Bloodhounds, and a great deal smarter.
A niece who lost her parents and grew up in the hands of an uncle who runs a shopping mall faces a new truth after her uncle's sudden death.
Hooks early Episode 1. The uncle is dead, the house is under attack, and the flashback structure starts working straight away.
