A fantasy romcom about a woman who cannot feel much of anything and a genie who feels everything, and the pairing produces something unexpectedly affecting. The wish rules are clear and the comedy lands. The show plays her strangeness straight rather than cute, which is the braver choice and the colder one, and the rules loosen whenever the plot needs them to. It asks for a real price and then argues the price was worth paying.
After a thousand years, a quirky genie returns to grant wishes to a woman born without feelings. Can his magic bring love and wonder to her world?
