An 8.7 from ninety six thousand ratings, and written reviews average barely a six. The first four episodes are badly assembled and they are where it gets dropped. What survives is Lee Joon Gi giving the performance of his career and a court tragedy that does not blink at the end. It is long, it is cruel, and it does not reward a second visit, because the pleasure is entirely in the hurt. Start it only if you want to be wrecked, and push past episode four.
A story of a 25-year-old Go Hajin who is transported back in time to the Goryeo Dynasty. She then wakes up in the body of Lady Hae Soo and finds herself amongst the ruling princes of the Wang Family.
Slow start Episode 5. The first four are genuinely choppy because of heavy re-editing. Push through them anyway.
