Love Next Door
엄마 친구 아들Checked and re-read
Childhood friends, meddling mothers, and a burnout story hiding inside a neighbourhood romcom. Jung So Min is excellent as a woman who cannot admit she has broken down, and the show is at its best in the quiet scenes with her mother rather than the shouting ones. The middle pads itself with misunderstandings and the second-lead subplots go nowhere. Comfort viewing with a real subject underneath it, which is more than most sixteen episode romcoms manage.
A woman attempting to reboot her life returns to Korea and becomes entangled with her childhood friend — with whom she shares a complicated history.
Slow start Episode 3, once the reason she quit her job and came home stops being a punchline.
