Difference: pace 1 and rural rather than coastal, and no crime ever arrives, so there is nothing to skip and nothing to rescue it either.

Slow start Episode 3, once Mr Gu starts drinking with Mi-jeong. Before that it is deliberately airless.

Adults arranging a quieter life on purpose. Same low volume, same negotiation instead of drama, same interest in what it costs to opt out of the standard timeline. Difference: it is set in Seoul with housing and money as the pressure, and the relationship is a contract, so it has a structure where this one has a season.

Hooks early Episode 2, once the housemate arrangement starts.

A seaside village that absorbs an outsider. Same coastal setting, same ensemble of neighbours used as cushioning, same guarantee that the place is safe. Difference: comfort 5 romcom energy at pace 3, so it never asks for patience and never earns stillness the way this show does.

Hooks early Episode 2, once the village cast is established.

Leaving the city for a slower life and finding out what you were avoiding. Same argument that the countryside is not an escape so much as a place quiet enough to hear yourself. Difference: a twin-swap premise gives it a plot from episode one, so it is properly structured rather than deliberately aimless.

Hooks early Episode 1, where the swap happens and both sisters immediately have to live with it. The ratings open at their highest and drift down from there.

Quitting, coming home, and admitting it to your parents. Same starting point of a burned-out woman with no plan and the same interest in a neighbourhood that already has opinions about her. Difference: it is a childhood-friends romance and the parents get half the show, so the loneliness is never allowed to sit.

Slow start Episode 3, once the reason she quit her job and came home stops being a punchline.

Exhaustion taken completely seriously. Same subject of somebody with nothing left, and the same belief that small kindnesses are the plot. Difference: heavy 4 with an office conspiracy attached, so it is a much harder watch and there is no village to hide in.

Slow start Episode 4 is the turn. Before that it just looks bleak.
