If what you wanted was low stakes and good company, this is that with a bigger budget. Difference: King the Land has no bickering engine and no niche to be enthusiastic about, so it is smoother and emptier.

Hooks early Episode 1. The heir and the smiling hotel clerk meet in the first twenty minutes and the show never complicates that.

Same network, same length, another lead the show refuses to soften. A woman who prices every relationship before entering it, a genuinely sharp first half about money and pettiness, and a back half that mislays the premise. Difference: No Gain No Love's lead runs on a calculation rather than a grudge, so its comedy is arithmetic instead of retaliation.

The adult version of a bickering workplace romance. Jeon Do Yeon and Jung Kyung Ho play it as two people with businesses and histories, which removes the childishness that is the main charge against this show. Difference: Crash Course in Romance runs a thriller under the comedy and is sixteen episodes rather than twelve.

Shared cast, and the quiet end of the same genre. Two adults sign what is really a lease and talk about it like adults, with no pranks, no office war and no rushed resolution. Difference: First Life has a thesis about what a partnership costs and no workplace comedy at all.

Hooks early Episode 2, once the housemate arrangement starts.

A romcom with a burnout story hidden inside it. Jung So Min is excellent as a woman who cannot admit she has broken down, and the best scenes are with her mother rather than her neighbour. Difference: Love Next Door's real fight is with a parent, not a company, and it pads its middle with misunderstandings.

Slow start Episode 3, once the reason she quit her job and came home stops being a punchline.
