Lee Jong-suk plays a prosecutor with the same unarmoured kindness. Difference: cases run two to four episodes instead of one, and there is a mild love triangle, handled far better than that phrase suggests.

Hooks early Episode 2, once the three of them realise they are dreaming the same futures.

The closest structural match almost nobody suggests. A savant lawyer, music instead of memory, a case-per-episode rhythm about people at their absolute worst, and one long grudge running underneath the whole thing. It even shares a cast member with Woo. Difference: no central romance, just a supporting one kept to the edges. The relationship that matters is a three-man friendship, which is either a downgrade or the better trade, depending on what you came for.

Hooks early Episode 2, once the case-per-episode rhythm and the friend group both settle.

For the competence and the found family. A workplace where skilled adults are quietly good at their jobs and kinder to each other than the plot requires, with the same weekly rhythm of one case, one lesson, one small ache. Difference: no legal element and no single protagonist. Season one is the slice-of-life one; season two leans romance.

Hooks early Episode 2, when the band and the friendship rhythm take over from the medical cases.

The other great K-drama with an autistic lead, and the better performance of the two if you can take the weight. Ten episodes of an uncle and nephew clearing the homes of people who died alone, built on genuine mutual dependence rather than protection. Difference: no romance and far heavier. Do not start it looking for comfort.

Park Eun-bin again, and the one to watch if what you actually loved was her. Fifteen years stranded, then a return to a world that moved on, played with the same mix of oddness and open-heartedness. Difference: it carries a domestic-abuse thread Woo never goes near, so it is a harder watch than the logline implies.

Hooks early Episode 2, once she is off the island and actually singing.

If the courtroom was the draw and you want the version with no softness in it. Ten episodic cases about children who did terrible things, argued out by adults who disagree honestly and are all partly right. Difference: the tone is the exact inverse. It is cold and built to leave you unsettled rather than reassured.

Hooks early Episode 1, and it is the hardest case in the series. Nothing later is easier to sit through, and the show never lets up.

The right call if the real appeal was adults who say what they mean. Four characters, healthy communication, almost no manufactured conflict, and a second lead played by Kang Tae-oh, who was Junho. Difference: no cases and no plot engine. It is a hangout show and it moves like one.
