Conspiracy and cover-up with a serial-killer engine. Shared cast, same 8.9-from-45,167 crowd enthusiasm, same structure of a protagonist discovering the institution around him is complicit. Difference: heavy 5 and no romance at all, and at twenty episodes the length is the standing objection, so it asks more patience for less spectacle.

Hooks early Episode 2, once the killer and the two men chasing him are locked into the same story.

A closed file and the people who closed it. Same fury at official denial and the same slow reveal that the cover-up is the story. Difference: the tool is a radio and the register is procedural mystery, so there is no action and the catharsis is intellectual.

Hooks early Episode 1. The walkie-talkie premise is set up and paid off inside the first hour.

Guns arriving somewhere they should not be, and the state losing control. Same 2020s appetite for institutional failure staged at scale, pace 4 and no romance. Difference: it is a contained social thriller rather than an international chase, so the globe-trotting scope that Vagabond spends its budget on is gone.
