The show that sold Korean drama to a continent, and the first eight hours deserve it: Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo carry dialogue built almost entirely out of flirting under fire. It is two shows stapled together, a military romance and a disaster procedural, and the second couple is better written than the first. The last two hours are where it comes apart, and that is the one reason it does not sit higher. Come for the leads and the Urk scenery and accept that the plot is scaffolding.
After a chance meeting in a hospital, an ardent soldier falls for a gifted surgeon. Opposing philosophies tear them apart, but fate has other plans.
Hooks early Episode 1. The meet-cute and the deployment are both loaded inside the first hour.
