Because you loved 트리거 2025 · Netflix · 10 episodes, about 8 hours in total Action & Adventure, Drama, Crime Streaming: Netflix Change drama

A gun-control thriller set in a country with almost no gun crime, and the first three episodes build that premise better than anything else Netflix made in Korea that year. These are the Korean action thrillers with the same interest in ordinary people handed a weapon.

Narrow it down 6 of 6

The order is our own call on how close two shows feel, not a score a machine worked out. Closest thing we have means the same experience in a different costume, shares one strong thread means one thing carries over, and same feeling, different angle means it gets you to the same place by another route.

비질란테

Closest thing we have

Somebody decides the system has failed and starts correcting it personally. Same argument about who is allowed to use force, at eight tight episodes, and it is far more disciplined about following its own logic. Difference: the violence is fists and hardware rather than firearms, and the lead is inside the police academy rather than outside it.

Vagabond

배가본드

2019SBS16 ep~70 min~19h total

Shares one strong thread

Big-budget action as a delivery system for a conspiracy. Fifteen hours of a state that lies and a man who will not stop asking, shot on location and paced hard. Difference: it is a globe-trotting spy story, and the last hour is a famous argument.

My Name

마이 네임

2021Netflix8 ep~50 min~6.5h total

Shares one strong thread

Eight episodes, one revenge, and the most physical fight work Netflix has funded in Korea. Shares the weight of consequences and the sense of a lead being used by everybody around them. Difference: it is a crime story with a woman undercover, and there is nothing procedural about it.

Mercy for None

광장

2025Netflix7 ep~42 min~5h total

Same feeling, different angle

Seven episodes of pure noir with nothing spare in them. Same short-run structure and the same understanding that violence in Korean drama works best when it costs something. Difference: it is gang territory and the tone is bleak throughout, with no institutional argument anywhere in it.

The Worst of Evil

최악의 악

2023Disney+12 ep~53 min~11h total

Same feeling, different angle

A decent man walking into a world that will use him up. Both put an ordinary officer inside a supply chain and both are interested in what that does to him. Difference: it is a 1990s undercover story with a marriage at the centre, so the pull is personal rather than political.

Agent Kim Reactivated

김부장

2026SBS10 ep~65 min~11h total

Same feeling, different angle

An extremely capable man who would rather be left alone, until somebody takes his family. Same competence fantasy and the same short run, with fight work that is genuinely good. Difference: it plays as a comedy, so the register is entertainment where this one wants to make a point.

Commonly suggested, and wrong

The Killing Vote

The reflexive pairing, because both use a national crisis as a thought experiment about justice. It is much more interested in the mechanics of a televised poll than in the people holding the weapons, and it is broader in every scene.

Taxi Driver

Suggested for the vigilante appetite, and the format is wrong. That is episodic revenge-for-hire with a new client each week, where this is one escalating national event.

Bloodhounds

Paired for the action. The choreography there is the whole reason to watch and the plot is a frame around it, which is the reverse of what this show is doing.

A note on method

Matching starts from attributes we set by hand: pace, how much romance drives the plot, emotional weight, comfort. Then a title only stays if it holds up against the whole run of the show and earns a one-sentence reason for being on this list. Full method.
