A stubborn man opening a business to ruin the man who destroyed his family, with the staff he assembles as the best part of it. The first eight episodes are genuinely angry in the same way. Difference: Itaewon Class turns into a business fantasy with a love triangle in its back half, so it lets its hero win in a way this one never does.

The trading company, the hierarchy, and the paperwork as drama. Twenty episodes about spreadsheets, photocopiers and the exact mechanics of a system grinding a person down, with no romance and no villain to blame for it. Difference: Misaeng offers no escape hatch and no antagonist, so the setbacks are structural rather than authored by a rival firm.

Hooks early Episode 2, once the sales team starts treating him like a person rather than a filing error.

The period doing the emotional work, one street at a time. Twenty episodes at ninety-five minutes that still go down in a week, five families, and parents written better than their children. Same decade, same warmth around the edges of hardship. Difference: Reply 1988 is comfort and this is attrition, and its worst thread is a husband mystery rather than a balance sheet.

Same director, four adults who are not winning at anything. Lee Na Jung shooting people in their late twenties failing at their ambitions, and it is unusually good at the part after a couple gets together. Difference: Fight for My Way has no company to save and no economy behind it, so the failure is personal rather than national.

A parent written as the subject rather than the obstacle. Ra Mi Ran playing damage and love as the same thing, in a village, with a family that has to relearn each other from the beginning. Difference: The Good Bad Mother's crisis is a body and an accident, not a currency reserve, and it is far heavier in the last third.
