Twenty episodes at ninety five minutes each, and it still goes down in a week. The husband mystery is the worst thing in it, strung out for suspense long past the point it matters, and the show is not really about that anyway. It is about one street, five families, and parents written better than their children, which almost nothing else on Korean television bothers to attempt. Give it three episodes to stop feeling like nostalgia bait, then clear your calendar, because the last two hours play as a bereavement.
Take a nostalgic trip back to the late 1980s through the lives of five families and their five teenage kids living in a small neighbourhood in Seoul.
Slow start Episode 3. The first two are scene-setting and the neighbourhood has not clicked yet.
