Difference: it is set in a prison, the cast are adults, and the laughs come from institutional cruelty rather than from teenagers being teenagers.

Hooks early Episode 2, once the cell mates are introduced properly.

The neighbourhood as the point, kids and parents given equal weight. Same rhythm of small stakes stretched over twenty hours, same warmth toward adults who are quietly failing, same guarantee that nobody irredeemable lives here. Difference: it has a romance mystery driving it and a nostalgia frame, and it will make you cry properly.

Slow start Episode 3. The first two are scene-setting and the neighbourhood has not clicked yet.

Comfort with no antagonist, which is the hardest thing to write. Same ensemble construction where each hour hands out five small arcs, same use of a shared activity as the reason everybody is in the room. Difference: adults with careers and a band, and the stakes are patients, so the show has real mortality where this one has a tournament.

Hooks early Episode 2, when the band and the friendship rhythm take over from the medical cases.

Choi Hyun Wook again, and the same generosity toward teenagers. Same interest in kids who are better people than the adults expect, and the same willingness to let a friend group carry an hour with no plot. Difference: a time-travel premise and a family tragedy give it a much bigger emotional swing than badminton ever attempts.

Hooks early Episode 2, once he lands in 1995 and meets his father at eighteen.

Student athletes, and nothing bad will happen. Same low-stakes training world, same comedy from physical embarrassment, comfort 5 and heavy 1. Difference: it is a romance and the sport is the setting rather than the subject, so the team never matters the way this village does.

Hooks early Episode 2, once the two leads start colliding on purpose.

Ordinary competence, warm and constant, the highest comfort score in the 2025 catalog. Same pleasure of watching four beginners get better at something specific while looking after each other. Difference: a hospital, adults and emergencies every hour, so it has real jeopardy where this one has a scoreline.

Slow start Episode 3. The first two hours are busy introducing four residents; from three the ward starts running and it does not stop.
