A mother-son drama about a woman who raised her child cruelly because the world was crueller, and a prosecutor who comes home after an accident with the cognitive damage of a small child and has to learn her again. Ra Mi Ran is extraordinary: she plays the damage and the love as the same thing and the show never asks you to decide which is which. The pig farm village is a warm counterweight to the courtroom thriller underneath, and episode two is where it hooks you. It earns its tears honestly. It is also much softer on her cruelty than on anything else in the show, and the recovery is tidier than any real one would be.
A tragic accident leaves an ambitious prosecutor with the mind of a child – forcing him and his mother to embark on a journey to heal their relationship.
