My Mister
나의 아저씨The same director, and the same argument. Kim Won Seok shoots both of these the same way: long takes, unbearable silences, a camera that trusts an office corridor to carry a scene. Both are about a man being ground down at work and refusing to be broken quietly, and both treat dignity at a desk as a real subject. Difference: My Mister has a second person listening to every word, so it has a warmth Misaeng never offers.
