It's Okay, That's Love
괜찮아, 사랑이야Checked and re-read
Six years before It's Okay to Not Be Okay, this did the same job better. A novelist and a psychiatrist share a house, and the illness at the centre is something to live with rather than a plot device, which the show manages while still being funny. Zo In Sung and Kong Hyo Jin talk to each other like adults, which almost nothing in this bracket manages. The 2014 production shows in the needle drops, one stretch of the back half is heavy handed, and the reveal it builds to rewards patience rather than surprising you.
From mere co-talkshow guests to being off-screen roommates? Things get steamier and awkward between a psychologist and novelist in their entanglement.
Slow start Episode 3, once the housemates are all under one roof and the household becomes the setting.
