The best written drama almost nobody has watched: 4,600 ratings against Goblin's hundred thousand, and it is the better show. Noh Hee Kyung hands it to actresses in their seventies and lets them be funny, petty, terrified and unfinished. The young translator narrating it is the weakest thing in it, a protagonist bolted on for an audience that did not need her. It is heavier than the warm poster implies and the last two hours are brutal. Watch it for the four or five performances you will not see anywhere else.
Life is ever-delightful — and ever-challenging — for a group of friends in their twilight years as they rediscover themselves through love and family.
