The same premise, built as a thriller, and the one to watch next. A person inside a comic confronting the man writing it, with the author as an antagonist who can delete you. Every rule Extraordinary You gestures at is enforced here and used to generate real danger. Difference: it is pace 5 with a murder plot at the centre and it is much heavier, so the school-romance sweetness is gone and it is far more interested in the mechanics than the feelings.

Hooks early Episode 1. She is pulled into the webtoon before the first hour is out.

Rewriting a fate you have already seen. Same engine of a young woman with knowledge she should not have, spending it to change one person's ending, and the same devotion to a boy who keeps getting written badly. Difference: the loop is time travel with clean rules that it keeps, so the frustration of a premise abandoned is not part of the deal.

Hooks early Episode 2, the first jump back. Be warned: the lead's fan-girl register in the first two episodes is a lot to take, and it settles around episode 6.

A teenager dropped into a story that was not written for him. Same youth-fantasy shape, same school setting used as a stage rather than a place, and the same warmth toward second-tier characters who deserve better. Difference: the fantasy is family history rather than authorship, and it is much less clever, but it is also much steadier across its run.

Hooks early Episode 2, once he lands in 1995 and meets his father at eighteen.

A romance where fate is a document somebody else wrote. A sealed book decides who loves whom, which is Extraordinary You's central idea handled as adult fantasy. Difference: no school, no ensemble of supporting characters waking up, and a slower single-couple focus, so the group-mutiny pleasure is missing.

Hooks early Episode 2, once the spell book is actually opened and the show commits to being a comedy about a curse.

Somebody carrying memory the story is not supposed to give her. The same ache of loving a person who does not remember, and the same structural trick of a character who can see the shape of the plot. Difference: it is grounded melodrama with no meta layer, so the delight of watching the fourth wall crack is not on offer.

Hooks early Episode 1, which is the best hour of the twelve. The premise is fully loaded before the first credits roll.

Youth as a story being retold by somebody who knows the ending. Both frame teenage feeling inside an external narrative device and both are at their best in the middle stretch. Difference: the frame is a diary rather than a webtoon, the tone is nostalgic melodrama, and it plays for real hurt in a way this show would never risk.

Hooks early Episode 2, once the two of them start meeting at night. Episode 1 is loud and abrasive on purpose, and it is the easiest place to quit.
