The closest thing in the catalog, and it is about the same wound. A young woman whose body is public property, a first love with somebody who already knew her, and a campus that keeps ranking people. Both refuse to make the transformation the point, and both are funniest when the friend group takes over. Difference: it is far warmer and comfort 5 against comfort 4, with no bullying flashbacks, so the ache here is nostalgic rather than raw.

Hooks early Episode 2, once the two leads start colliding on purpose.

The same university, read as a threat. Webtoon source, Korean campus hierarchy, group projects as power plays, and a male lead whose kindness is a question rather than a fact. Both shows understand that most of the cruelty at that age is procedural. Difference: it is a psychological study with very little comfort in it, and its back half comes apart under a production fight.

Hooks early Episode 1. The dynamic between them is unsettling from the first scene.

Youth written by somebody who remembers it hurting. Same interest in a young woman deciding what she is worth outside other people's assessment, same slow-burn first love, same friend group doing the heavy lifting. Difference: it is framed by an adult looking back, and the frame is sad on purpose.

Hooks early Episode 2, once the two of them start meeting at night. Episode 1 is loud and abrasive on purpose, and it is the easiest place to quit.

A school story about being cast in somebody else's plot. Both take a girl who has been assigned a role by everybody around her and let her fight the assignment, and both are webtoon adaptations about being ranked by everybody in the room, a university here and a high school there. Difference: the fantasy premise takes over completely, so the social realism that makes Gangnam Beauty sting is replaced by rules and twists.

Hooks early Episode 2, when she works out what kind of world she is actually living in.

The adult version of the same quiet. Two people who communicate carefully, a university and a sports world that both punish anyone who steps out of line, and a romance built from consideration rather than tension. Difference: the pace is genuinely slow and there is no bullying plot or comic ensemble, so it asks more patience and gives less relief.

Slow start Episode 3, once all four leads stop explaining themselves and start talking.

Youth, difference, and a kid learning what his parents survived. Same tenderness toward a teenager who has been treated as a problem, same use of a school as the arena. Difference: it is a time-travel fantasy with a music-club heart, so the social critique is replaced by sentiment, and it is aimed younger.
