A former gangster runs for apartment association president to steal money and accidentally becomes the neighbourhood hero, and the twelve episodes sustain the comedy better than the thriller. The first four hours open strong, the community ensemble is warm, and the villain loses cleanly. A crowd-pleaser that lands its ending, which puts it ahead of most shows in its weight class.
Desperate for cash, a former gang boss teams up with an aspiring lawyer to steal an apartment complex's reserve fund — only to uncover deep corruption.
