Former national athletes become cops, which is a great premise and a sixteen episode problem. The loop is visible by the fourth hour: the team fights, the team loses badly, the hero absorbs another injury the script never makes him pay for, the team fights again. Park Bo Gum and Kim So Hyun are both better than the script, Oh Jung Se is enjoying himself, and the action is genuinely well staged. What it lacks is consequence, because the illness that should give the whole thing weight is treated as a pill you take. Fun in three hour doses, exhausting at sixteen.
Olympic medalists join the police force through a special recruitment program, trading medals for badges as they tackle violent crimes and injustices with their athletic skills.
Hooks early Episode 1. Retired Olympians are recruited into a police unit and the tone is set immediately. The structure after that is a loop rather than a build.
