Shin Hae Sun, and a life resumed where it stopped. Same premise of a woman carrying a self the world has moved past, same devotion to somebody who was there at the moment everything broke, same gentle handling of a very sad setup. Difference: the mechanism is reincarnation rather than a coma, and it is quieter and slower, with a smaller comic ensemble.

Hooks early Episode 1, which is the best hour of the twelve. The premise is fully loaded before the first credits roll.

Going back to the person who knew you before. Shared cast, and the same structure of two people whose history is the actual relationship and whose present is mostly catching up. Same warmth, same found-family house. Difference: it is a small-town ensemble with a career-collapse plot, so the fairy-tale premise is replaced by ordinary humiliation.

Slow start Episode 8, when the show finally drops the career scandal plot and becomes the hometown drama it was always trying to be.

Coincidence as the engine, and a man who can see what is coming. Shared cast, same reliance on near-misses and information withheld, same braid of comedy and melodrama. Difference: a 6.46 written-review average against 8.75 here, and it has no respect for its heroine, so it is a much rougher watch.

Slow start Episode 3, once both Oh Hae Youngs are inside the same story.

Strangers in a house, negotiating. Same architecture of a shared home standing in for a relationship neither party will name, same comfort in domestic routine. Difference: it is dry, adult and economically anxious, so the whimsy that carries this show is entirely absent.

Hooks early Episode 2, once the housemate arrangement starts.

Shin Hae Sun playing somebody with the wrong instincts for the room. Same comic pleasure of a person operating on rules nobody around them shares, and she is the reason both shows work. Difference: it is a palace farce at pace 4 with real political stakes, so the healing tone is replaced by scheming.

Hooks early Episode 1. A modern chef wakes up as a Joseon queen inside twenty minutes.

Comfort with a found family built in. Same comfort-first register, same ensemble of neighbours who become the emotional payload. Difference: both leads are adults with adult histories and there is no fantasy premise, so the sweetness is grounded rather than fairy-tale.
