Crash Landing on You
사랑의 불시착Checked and re-read
The Korean drama that people who watch one Korean drama have watched, and the first half earns it. The village is the actual draw: the soldier's neighbours and his squad are funnier and warmer than the romance they surround, and the comedy is far better than the premise suggests. It sags once the story moves south and has to keep inventing reasons for two people to be in the same country, and the assassin subplot is dead weight. Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin are worth the sag. Watch it for the North Korean village and treat the last four episodes as the price of the first twelve.
A paragliding mishap drops a South Korean heiress in North Korea -- and into the life of an army officer, who decides he will help her hide.
Hooks early Episode 2, the moment the village women turn up at his door. The soldiers and the neighbours are the show.
