Uncontrollably Fond
함부로 애틋하게Checked and re-read
First loves separated by something neither of them chose, put back in front of each other when he is a star and she has learned to be ruthless about work. An 8.1 from 45,025 ratings sits against a 4.33 rewatch score and 6.79 for story, which is exactly right: twenty episodes of engineered anguish with a soundtrack that scores 8.08, and almost nobody goes back to it. Kim Woo Bin is genuinely excellent and the chemistry with Bae Suzy is the entire product, though the early episodes hand him behaviour towards her that the show frames as devotion. The first four are a slog and the middle circles the same standoff, so the honest calibration is that it earns its second half and then charges full price for it. Do not start it looking for comfort.
The memory of their painful breakup still fresh in their minds, two former lovers reunite years later as a top actor and a documentary producer.
Slow start Episode 5, once what is wrong with him is on the table and the reunion stops being a game.
