The best OCN procedural and the only remake here that improves on its source. A data-driven detective wakes up in 1988 with a squad that closes cases by intimidation, and the show mines that gap for comedy before turning it into something much colder about what policing used to be. Jung Kyung Ho is superb, the individual cases are strong, and there is no romance slowing it down. The last two hours are the weakest and it is still a straight recommendation.
While investigating a serial murder case, Detective Han Tae Joo gets into a catastrophic incident. When he wakes up, he finds himself transported back to 1988, appointed to work at a police station in a small city. Believing he is there for a reason, he tries to solve the case from the past in hopes of finding a way back to his life in 2018.
Hooks early Episode 2, once the 1988 precinct stops being a joke to him and starts being a place.
