For eight episodes this is the best young romance of 2025: a high school shaman hiding her work, a boy whose luck is killing him, and a best friend who knows he is losing. Cho Yi Hyun is very good and the supernatural rules are kept simple enough to care about. Then a new character arrives late on, the show hands him the plot, and the ending belongs to a story that has almost nothing to do with the one you started. The fall off is steep and it is what the show ends up being about. Watch the first eight, then decide whether you want the rest.
